It's been a couple of days since the last edition of the Berlin blog but it's been heads down from GoodBooks recently in the shape of a couple of new tunes, a 30 minute mix for the best radio station in Germany called Fritz Radio, a tad too much alcohol consumption and a shedload of table football.

Anna's gone home now, which is a bit strange. It's been awesome having her here, even if she did keep me up til 6bloody30am yesterday morning discussing life, goodbooks and life. GoodTimes though.

One day we're going to live in Berlin...
Definately a statement that's been swirling around my head for the last week, I don't think I've managed to feel so at home and also so excited by a city for a long time..Paris probably being the last European city that gave me a certain tingle, I think I can honestly say that GoodBooks would all love to move here one day..who knows maybe sooner rather than later.
It's been a couple of quieter days in Kamp GoodBooks, after a day of culture and sightseeing we felt we should attempt to do a bit more work..to be fair listening through and extensively analysing demos is hardly a chore but it did fill us all with a certain enthusiasm and excitement about the songs we've been writing, I/we don't want to wear the noose of just another indie/guitar band.. that doesn't excite us..we want to write songs that are euphoric, more personal, rougher and less safe and listening to those demos I think we are starting to achieve that..I can't wait to see what else we manage to craft during the rest of our stay in this vibrant place.. Exciting stuff!
Anyway..more of a stream of thoughts as opposed to a conventional blog..but fuck it.. come to Berlin, it's amazing, and go listen to Junior Boys! JP.
we're also all contemplating getting tatoos?! ummm..
