i really like UCL, they have a very good course and the largest discection hall in the country. but their buildings are pretty ugly and VERY 80s.

It is. Art school students are the animals of party. But it gets stressful. And there are still essays and such…

i naively have applied to fulfil my dream of being a neurosurgeon since i was three by applying to cambridge, imperial, king’s london and UCL.

uh ohhhh!

You better go to Cambridge! If I can test out of enough classes at my new uni (and have them give me loads of money), I’m going to Cambridge next summer! (My parents said that since I finally have a “direction in life” I’m allowed to study abroad now...).

Hehe, nah. You go wherever you feel happy. =)

I always wanted to go to art school. But they cost waaaaay too much here. Public universities here can cost around $5000 just on tuition! My dream university would have cost my parents around $33,000 a year....so yeah. I gave up on that lol.

i would love to cambridge more than anything in the world, but i don’t think it will be ME who will be in a position of choice. unfortunately, i do not even make the minimum entry requirements so i may not even get interviewed. but there are only 4 places in the country i want to go so i had to try.

maybe the prospect of being your colleague will motivate me more rasberry

Lmfao damn straight!

Hey, there’s nothing wrong with trying! If you get it, great. If not, still great! You’ll just end up someplace that works best for you. =)

*Gets confused about the UK system* <--And that’s after Danni explained it to me too!

Yeah, tuition looks pricey across the pond too, it seems! 3070 is insaaaane. That’s around $6140! Well...actually, it doesn’t seem that much worse than us. At my school, it’s around $5000 for the tuition, $120-$260 for parking (yeah...they actually pay us to pollute the air), and about $500 for textbooks. If you stay on campus, it’s about $6000 added to that.

YA! But I only spent that much on camera equipment because I’m a photographer. Innit. Can get rreally good digi SLR’s for a fractions of that. Then again, still too much for a student. I hate being pooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...........

Paper and film adds up to a ridiculous amount. But gone are teh days of having to spend loads of money on it.
