I’m seeing Rufus at Benicassim (or however it is spelled) so it won’t be all that wonderful.  Last time I saw him was incredibly good.
Who mentiioned Eden Sessions?  I went to them in...errr...2001?  2002?  2002 I think, and it was a nice setting.  It was Pulps penultimate gig *sadface* but it was quite special.

whats it like? the eden thing?
i can imagine it being sort of… 2000-3000, outside, low lighting, cute twinkly fairy lights and fluffy things and i know it wont be like that at ALL but thats how it is in my head.

im getting ridiculously excited about rufus tomorrow even if hmv instores are soulless and a bit tacky, its RUFUS… he’ll make it work.
it’ll be myyyyy 4th time seeing him? i first saw him at wireless a couple of years ago. it was so sunny then it started raining a teeny tiny bit, then he dedicated a song to jeff buckley, and it stopped raining and this massive rainbow appeared and if i was on drugs i’d have thought i was imagining it but i wasn’t and it was AMAZING.
then i saw him at hammersmith apollo with a full band and costumes and french & saunders came out to sing his christmas song with him because it was december, and there were trumpets and eeeverything. THEN i saw him a month later for a rescheduled gig but his band had already gone home so it was just him and his piano. i think i died that night, it was heavenly.

this was supposed to be a short post. oops.

I don’t know how many people were at the Ededn project, I ended up at the font to staty warm at night.  It rained for Pulp - but I forgot that as soon as British Sea Power came on stage, and only noticed when Jarvis pointed it out in the encore.  It was nice, there were lots of flags and banner, and there were no bog horrible stadium lights.  I hope it is lovely for you.  If you haven never been to the eden project (and they still do the free two daypass with the concert tickets) I recommend that you go into the little dome first; it’s a bit of a let down if you go in second.

Freaking love Simian Mobile Disco- attack decay sustain release. I Believe is orgasmic.

i’ll give it a bash in audacity later smile

has anyone abused the potential cheap/freeness of the new radiohead album? i think its going to be one of my favourite albums of the cold nights. its a great nighttime-autumn-walking album. kinda like howling bells. thats an autumn album for sure.

has anyone heard of a chappy called jim gipson? hes uploaded new songs… i first heard him play about 8 months ago and i STILL cant decide if i love him or if he’s just a bit too shrill. you know when someones a little bit tooo shrieky so your ears are thinking “yikes!” but you know what hes aiming for and that gives you butterflies and… im confuuuuuused.

Little Jackie:  The World Should Revolve Around Me
“What came first - the chicken nugget, or the egg mcmuffin” Some silly summery pop, and what’s wrong with that?

Billy Ocean:  Love really Hurts Without You
Yeah I know it’s lyrically a heartbreak song, but it makes me so happy!  Perfect production, dancing, euphoria.

Salem:  Yes I Smoke Crack
Hyped, but.... a bit intense and… just listen.  And they have a myspace which is actually worth looing at.
